Snow Flakes

I've tasted a snow flake today,
It was cold, light and tingly.

See how the snow falls quietly,
Flurrying down ever so peacefully.

Snow reminds me of God's love,
How it falls on earth abundantly.

The flake is soft and tender,
It is gentle, airy and white.

It stings in its pureness,
It melts as it touches our hearts.

Snow covers everything,
It blankets in immaculate stillness.

How wonderfully, blinding it can be,
As it glitters on the ground for you and me.

Come and taste how great God's love is,
Just like the shimmering, perfect snow He gives.

Oh, a moment of praise,
To thank God for His exciting love today.

  1. ..i love how you capture your surroundings and translate them into words.. :} the first thing i asked myself when i seriously took Filipino as a subject was, 'why didn't we have a filipino word for snow?' we have nieve but of course, it's a spanish word.. then it came to me, we don't have snow in the Philippines, do we?.. I love your heart for the Lord, Ma'am.. you are such an encouragement to me.. :}

  2. Thanks, Jederly! As always, you're comments and your support mean the world to me. Thanks for visiting and following my blog. God bless...
And yes, that's what I tell my American friends, that we don't have a "proper" word for snow in our language even in the hundreds of dialects we have because simply we don't have snow back home! =)
